Poppies on Blue

Poppies on Blue
11x 14 oil on canvas
80.00

I set up a still life similar to Wednesday Flowers, but changed the format to horizontal.
I am loving the soft blues with the bold reds.

I am attaching a link to purchase my printed notecards on the DPW website.
Each pack has 8 notecards (4.5x6 inches) and  8 envelopes.
Cards are high quality paper with a print of my art on them.
Each pack will be an assortment of prints, unless you specify otherwise.
Have a great day, and thanks again for stopping by.

Deb's Zinnias

Deb's Zinnias
8x10, oil on canvas
60.00

My sweet friend, Debbie, shared some zinnias from her beautiful garden with me.
Now, that girl has a green thumb if I ever saw one!
She tends her flowers with love and care and has a large variety of perennials.
I hope to paint more of them soon.
What a great way to start my weekend.
Have a great day, and thanks again for stopping by.

I am happy to do this painting, or any others in different sizes.

I love the boldness of the red roses against the soft blues.
I always have limes around, so it was an easy set up.
There are so many beautiful flowers blooming,

Walk in the Park

Walk in the Park
20x16 oil on canvas
NFS

I did this painting a few years ago, and I am thrilled it has a new home.
My friend, Ellen, fell in love with it and wants to hang it in her home.

I hope it brings her joy for many years.
Thank you!

If you like it, I am happy to paint it for you.
It has beautiful colors.

This morning another dear friend bought the crab painting, Blue.
I have had many good comments about that guy since I posted him last week.
I am going to paint him again for sure!
I have lots of crab photos from that day at the beach.

Flowers for the Teacher

Flowers for the Teacher
7x5 oil on canvas board
$30.00

Good morning and Happy Monday to you!

As we begin another school year this week, I couldn't resist painting a small vase of daisies.
So many days a young student would arrive with a handful of flowers just for me.
It made my heart sing, even if they were dandelions!
Pure joy for the receiver of such fine gifts.

Yesterday was a wonderful day in my studio. Three special girl friends came to visit and shop for art.
We had the best time trying various frames for their paintings.
They all found several things they liked, and I was thrilled to share with them.
Now, I have some empty space on my shelves, you know what that means.
More painting to do!

An extra bonus was selling two  paintings on Dailypaintworks.com.

Friday Flowers

Friday Flowers
14x11 Oil on canvas
$75.00

Happy Friday to you all.
Remember the days when you could go to your local florist and buy
a bouquet of fresh flowers on Fridays for $3.00?
That was back in the day before you could pick them up at the grocery store.
I think I'm dating myself!

I hope you enjoy them, they were so fun to paint!
Such happy colors

Zinnias with pear

Zinnias with pear

Zinnias with pear
20x16, oil on canvas
$100.00

The zinnias were fun to paint, as I let the warm and cool reds play together.
I love the color of the pot.

I hope you like it too.

I am thrilled that "Wednesday Flowers" from yesterday's post has sold!
My dear friend, Blake, bought it to hang in her daughter's bedroom.
I am most especially happy that sweet, dear Insley will get to have it for her own.
She is such a funny, adorable, cutie.  I loved teaching her in first grade.
Hugs!

Wednesday Flowers

Wednesday Flowers
20x16 oil on canvas
$100.00

For the past 17 years,  during mid August I spent my days filling pencil boxes with
new pencils, crayons,  and glue sticks.  I created new bulletin boards and
shopped for a new dress to wear on the first day of school.
I have loved teaching children how to read, and I loved my school family.
I will miss them dearly, but am happy to begin a new adventure.
I hope you enjoy Wednesday's flowers.
Have a great day!

Blue
8x10 Oil on canvas board
$55.00

We found this little guy looking for his lunch one afternoon on Fort Macon.
We scooped him up with the net and put him on the beach so we could get better photos.
I couldn't wait to paint him!   I would like to do this painting again on a larger canvas.
It was such a fun painting!

My favorite summer flower is the hydrangea. I love filling the house with fresh flowers,

Just Waiting

My name is Gayle Lambeth, and I live in Archdale, North Carolina.  My painting journey began with a watercolor class in 2007.  I quickly moved into oils because I love the textures and rich colors. I enjoy setting up still lifes in my studio, as well as  painting landscapes.   I am excited to be joining the Daily Paintworks and Daily Painters.com.  I hope to post several paintings a week.  Who knows?  I may actually post every day!  Let me know if you see something you would like to purchase.  I can provide a variety of sizes.

I hope you enjoy my paintings and please stop by again.
