I found this little boat on a recent beach trip.  

I am drawn to these little guys, just waiting for someone to untie them.

This is one of the pieces that will be included in the 2016 calendar.

I set this up outside this morning after I finished my coffee and planted the pansies.

The morning light was just perfect for painting,

and our North Carolina weather is awesome in September.

It's just too nice to be inside.

If you are lucky you can catch the horses of Carrot Island grazing near the shore.

One day this summer we actually found 3 different herds, totally 24 horses.

They are so pretty in their natural habitat.

Labor Day used to stand for the end of summer, and the pool closing.

It really means so much more to us, as Americans.

The older I get, the more I realize what a wonderful country this is.

I took a photo of this boutique in Carmel, CA a few years ago.

The painting is sold, but I will definitely paint this one again.

I was needing something to help me remember that spring is just around the corner.

A good friend came by the studio and purchased it for her mother's birthday.
