I started this painting at a Community Garden event last Saturday.

I got busy visiting with friends and didn't complete it, so

I finished it in the studio yesterday.

I love clipping these beautiful flowers and bringing them inside.

Thought they would look good in a blue ball jar.

I decided to use this for my Facebook Free Give Away 

for the month of June.  Each month I have a drawing for a painting.

I got the idea from another artist's blog, and I loved it!

I have made so many new friends this way.

This painting was done by a friend's photo of her brother's 

view of Smith Mountain Lake.

What a view!

Can only imagine morning coffee on the porch.

I enjoyed playing with the water reflections.

I love painting these fat little guys.

I normaly use oils, but tried acrylics today just to compare texture.

I love the buttery texture of oil paint,

but can appreciate the quick drying time for the acrylics.

This weekend I am participating in a Garden Event, 

painting flowers and vegetables in the garden.

Should be lots of fun!
