Be The Light

I love setting up flowers to paint.  It requires me to

think, assess, and look for the light.

May we all be looking for light so we can

shine it on others.

We just returned from Oregon and saw such beautiful

lavender on the Hood River.

It was a highlight of the trip to watch the lavender blowing in the wind

with the mountains in the background.

And the smell!  Oh my.

This is my first painting from the trip.

There will be more coming, I'm sure.

Have a happy day!

I love the bold flowers against the soft background.

I painted this set up several years ago and decided to paint it again.

So much more fun the second time around!

Have a lovely day, and thanks for stopping by!

A friend sent me this photo from Hilton Head.

I tried to focus on values and had fun with the background.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Tuesday to you!

This little pot was on our picnic table, and it just caught my eye and called me to paint it.

I especially love the shades of blue.

Happy Fourth of July to you!

Have a wonderful day!
