I just love the stillness that a snowfall brings.

Everything gets a nice white blanket, and the world seems to 

slow down and just breathe.

I came upon this sweet little house while strolling the streets of

Auvers-sur-Oise not far from Paris.

This is the village where Vincent van Gogh lived and painted

before his death in 1890.

It was fascinating to learn so much about the misunderstood

artist, and to walk where he lived and painted.

I will be sharing more paintings from our trip to France.

My favorite summer flower is the hydrangea. I love filling the house with fresh flowers, 

 so it was easy setting up this still life with  a juicy peach from my friend's  orchard.
