I have been reflecting on all the wonderful things that happened

in our family during 2017.  We gained a son-in-law, 

inheriting numerous Italian cousins,

spent two weeks traveling in France,  enjoyed several trips to the beach

and the mountains, and now have a grand daughter arriving in March 2018.

I was thrilled to have hard woods installed in my home studio. 

I am so happy just stepping into the new work space and have set goals for my

art in the new year.  I will paint every day in January, no matter what.

I will also post on my blog more often.

So lucky and blessed to have 2 different local shops selling my work.

Life is good.  Love painting and sharing 

with others to spread a little sunshine.

I just love the stillness that a snowfall brings.

Everything gets a nice white blanket, and the world seems to 

slow down and just breathe.

I wanted to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas!

I am so blessed that this has been a wonderful year for our family.

Our daughter got married, and now our son and his wife are expecting!  

Our family is growing and we are so happy.

I hope to post more in 2018. I am showing my work in two

different shops, so this keeps me busy and encourages me to paint more.

Yesterday I celebrated my birthday.  

I spent the day enjoying calls, cards, and text messages from so many.

I received this beautiful blue and white vase filled with 

sunflowers from my sweet friend,

so of course today I painted them.  

I hope they bring you as much joy as they did me!

This summer is my first experience being part of a CSA,

Community Supported Agriculture.

Every other week I go to visit my friend, Jennifer Farlow,

at her beautiful farm and pick up my box of 

fresh produce.  It is always a surprise and a joy to 

see what she has gathered for us each time.  

This week, as soon as I saw the beautiful colors, 

I just knew I had to paint them!  

I carefully laid them out and drew them on the canvas that night,

so I could paint first thing in the morning.

The colors are amazing, and to think they were grown locally without

any chemicals or pesticides.  Jennifer and her husband have the 

best assistants: their 2 sweet children.

I love color, but there is something about white roses

that speaks to me.

I used a limited palette, which is something new for me.

It amazes me that there are so many things to learn and so many

ways to create art.

I came upon this sweet little house while strolling the streets of

Auvers-sur-Oise not far from Paris.

This is the village where Vincent van Gogh lived and painted

before his death in 1890.

It was fascinating to learn so much about the misunderstood

artist, and to walk where he lived and painted.

I will be sharing more paintings from our trip to France.

My husband and I enjoyed walking to the Eiffel Tower

several weeks ago while we were in Paris.

It is such a beautiful, romantic city.

On the way back to the hotel, a spring shower popped up.

So, we tucked ourselves into a Parisian cafe 

for some onion soup and French wine.  

It was a magical experience.

I haven't posted in quite a while.  Decided to take a break after the New Year and recharge my battery.  I am happy to be back at the easel again!  I have painted these bikes in several colors.  They all turn out a little different, and they are so fun to paint!  I am happy to paint another color if you like .
