She was living in New York at the time, and it made my day

to think that she remembered how I love fresh flowers.

I knew instantly I would be painting them.

The light shining through the window gave them a glow.

The JH Adams Inn in High Point, North Carolina

was the setting for our son and his beautiful brides' wedding last weekend.

It is a beautiful Inn that is located in uptown High Point.

It was built in 1918.

A must see if you are in the area.

We framed the painting inside a white mat that the guests 

signed during cocktail hour and the reception.

Happy Easter!

Spring has sprung, and hopefully here to stay.

This is my favorite time of year as buds emerge and things begin to turn green again.

I had to go buy a few flowers today, even though it's too early to put them outside just yet.

Soon, our yard will be filled with various shades of red, pink, yellow and purple.

It is so fun to observe the daily, subtle changes.

This painting is gallery wrapped, so it looks good unframed.

I have been painting and fulfilling commissions lately.

I was happy to spend some time yesterday at the easel painting one of my favorite things, flowers.

They just make me so happy!

It appears that spring is finally here, as the days are getting longer and warmer.

I am happy to see lots of little green leaves peeping through the mulch, 

waking up after the winter months.

Before you know it, there will be lots of colorful blooms all around.

I love cutting them and filling the house with tiny vases.
